St Columba's Golf Classic

The college held its 15th annual Golf Classic in Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club on Monday 4th May in aid of the sports development fund. Thanks to the golf club for the use of their excellent facilities and to Lafferty Transport/Navenny Grill Ltd who were the main sponsors for our classic again this year. Many thanks to the parents, past pupils, staff, local businesses and member of the golf club who supported our venture in various ways. 30 teams took part in the competition on the day. Congratulations to the prize winning teams.

The St Columba's Student team of Jack Mc Geehan, Aaron Anderson, Conor Mc Bride and Sean Mc Bride claimed 1st place on an excellent score of 97 points. Seamus Cannon, Alan Forker, Mark Cannon and John Toye finished in 2nd place on a score of 92 points. In 3rd place were Seamus Lafferty, Jos Mc Menamin, Enda Mc Menamin and Martin Lynch on a score of 91 points (BOT). In 4th place were Lorcan Donnellan, Johnny Brady, Dean Doherty and Denis Mc Lean on a score of 91 points (BOT). Chris Hegarty and Dorothy Woods had the longest drives while Andy Parkinson and Sharon Moloney were nearest the pin on the 6th hole.
