Hot Press Writing Competition

Congratulation and well done to Callum Lavery whose poem won the Ulster section of the national Hot Press writing competition. He is one of just twenty five students in the whole country to be nominated for the final so it's a huge achievement for him and the English Department. Callum's poem will now be featured in the next edition of the magazine.

All-Island Art Competition

Congratulations and well done to Ciaran Haden, 5th Year. His entry into the Ireland 2016 All-island Art Competition "Imagining the Ireland of 2116" has been selected to go forward to represent County Donegal at Regional level (Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo and Mayo).

BT Young Scientists Competition

Two of our TY students had a busy few days at the BT Science and Technology Exhibition in the RDS. Alison Mulrine and Oisin Hughes undertook research into the nature of air pollution in the Twin Towns and the rates of occurence of respiratory ailments that may, in part, be caused by it.

Business Quiz Success!!

Congratulations to our Junior Cert Business Studies students who attended the Donegal heat of the BSTAI quiz held in Letterkenny IT last night.

The quiz consisted of 10 rounds of questions from the Junior Cert Business Studies syllabus with some general knowledge. Well done to Cathal Gallen, Hannah Harley, Jack Meehan and Ciara Phelan who did exceptionally well to win the quiz on a tie break round. They will go on to represent the county at the national quiz held in Tipperary next April. Hard luck to Sophie Carlin, James Deasley, Saoirse Carlin, Karen Gallen, Clodagh Lyons, Amy McCafferty, Niamh Sweeney, Shane Doherty, Aine Sproule and Rachel White who participated very well. Thanks to all the students who attended the quiz for the manner in which they represented the college and to their Business Studies teachers, Ms. C. Cooke and Ms. M. Rodgers, who prepared them so well
