Huge congrats to our U14 Girls Gaelic Football team won won the Ulster final yesterday, Defeating St Fanchea's, Enniskillen on a comprehensive scoreline.
Congratulation and well done to Callum Lavery whose poem won the Ulster section of the national Hot Press writing competition. He is one of just twenty five students in the whole country to be nominated for the final so it's a huge achievement for him and the English Department. Callum's poem will now be featured in the next edition of the magazine.
Congratulations and well done to Ciaran Haden, 5th Year. His entry into the Ireland 2016 All-island Art Competition "Imagining the Ireland of 2116" has been selected to go forward to represent County Donegal at Regional level (Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo and Mayo).
Two of our TY students had a busy few days at the BT Science and Technology Exhibition in the RDS. Alison Mulrine and Oisin Hughes undertook research into the nature of air pollution in the Twin Towns and the rates of occurence of respiratory ailments that may, in part, be caused by it.
The St Columbas rugby season 2015/16 has begun in earnest and there is much to be proud of. Fifteen lucky u13/first year players had an unique experience when they represented the school at a blitz stages at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
