'CEIST' Bake-Off Competition
Well done to Fiona Maguire (5th Year), Brooke McGlinchey and Natalie McConnell (Transition Year) on their entries for the 'CEIST Bake Off' Competition. The CEIST Bake Off is a baking competition open to CEIST secondary school students. It is organised and hosted by Ardscoil na Trionoide, Athy and sponsored by Odlums. Congratulations and best wishes to Natalie Mc Connell who was chosen as 1 of 7 national finalist for the Bake Off in Athy.
Debating Team News
Hard luck to our galant debating Team: Hannah, Chloe, Michael and Susan, who were narrowly defeated by St Claire's, Manorhamilton in their final debate of the series recently. They have put in a huge effort under the excellent guidance of Ms. Wade. Thanks also to Dewi Bolger Moore for chairing the debate and to Sean Coleman for timekeeping, and to the judges.
Mental Health Nat. Photographic Competion
Congratulations to Georgina Havlin who won 1st Prize in the Ulster section of the Mental Health Ireland National Photographic Competition. Her prize and certificate was presented by Bill Vaughan, Mental Health Ireland (Donegal). Also in the photo is Georgina’s Art teacher, Mr. Brian O Donnell.

DOODLE 4 GOOGLE –IT SUCCESS
Well done to Lyle Sarino, Leaving Cert, whose entry for 'Doodle for Google' reached the final stage of the competition. Lyle was presented with a framed copy of his entry and a T-Shirt with his doodle at the Prizegiving Cermony at the Google Foundry on Monday March 24th. Lyle Sarino “My idea is based on the coral reefs of the Philippines. I wanted to show an underwater concept and also to show beauty in the midst of the destruction caused by the Typhoon Haiyan, in the form of prismatic corals and vibrant, exotic sea creatures.”
