Ireland Health Care Scholarship Program - Optum
The Ireland Health Care Scholarship Program has been launched this week (20th March 2023). This scholarship program is funded by the United Health Foundation and is supported by Optum Ireland. Hard copies of all application material has been sent out to the 27 schools in County Donegal and is available from our Guidance Counsellors. The deadline for applications is 26th May, 2023.
The program has been expanded for 2023 with two different categories as follows:
NW Program
- 5 scholarships across ALL campuses in the new Atlantic Technological University (3 dedicated scholarships for ATU Donegal & 2 scholarships to be allocated on the basis of merit across all other ATU campuses)
- Total award per scholar: €10K over the term
Regional Program
- 1 dedicated scholarship for Queen’s University Belfast
- 1 dedicated scholarship for Ulster University (Derry/Coleraine)
- 2 dedicated scholarships for the University of Galway this year (based on demand over the last few years)
- Total award per scholar: €25K over the term
Hard copies or digital copies of the application form/ reference will be accepted. Principals must return the confidential reference directly Optum on having reviewed the student’s completed application form beforehand.
